Food Distribution Process              Distribution Dates              Drive Through Layout

To help address food insecurity, there is a monthly food distribution for Washington County residents.  Please see the links below for more information about when, where, and how the distribution works.

Food is supplied through the Feeding Kentucky Mobile Food Pantry.  Learn more about Feeding Kentucky at  Community Action orders the food and directs how many boxes go into each vehicle.  Washington County residents are eligible to receive food items and resources in family boxes.  Seniors who are signed up with Community Action are eligible to receive senior commodity items.  Call Community Action with questions at 859-336-7766.  Food is unloaded, sorted, and packed into vehicles by volunteers.  Monthly volunteers include people associated with Community Action, Washington County Extension, Lincoln Trail District Health Department, City and County Government, churches, schools, local businesses, and more.  Check out the photos to see some of our volunteers at work.  Help is always appreciated!

Clean cardboard boxes and grocery bags are used during this process to pack food items.  If you would like to donate boxes and bags, you may bring them to the Washington County Extension Office.  Please watch our Washington County Extension Facebook page for donation requests.  Call with questions at 859-336-7741.
